Mercy LIFE is a PACE program, Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly. It is a unique program providing a full spectrum of health care services, from primary to acute to long-term care for frail elderly individuals who are certified to require nursing home care. PACE programs are centered on the belief that it is better for the well-being of seniors with chronic care needs and their families to be served in the community whenever possible. At the center of the Mercy LIFE program is the LIFE Health Center. At the Center, clinical and rehabilitative services are coordinated and participants visit, socialize and build meaningful relationships with doctors, nurses and other program participants. Transportation to and from the Center is coordinated for participants. The program is able to provide the entire continuum of care and services to seniors with chronic care needs while maintaining their independence in their homes for as long as possible. |

Caring Together Adult Day Care has been providing services in the Tuscaloosa area since 2007. It is a day program to enhance quality of life for adults with memory disorders who are no longer able to care for themselves. The eligible memory disorders include Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Pick’s, Huntington’s, brain tumors, stroke, alcoholism related, and trauma induced dementias. Caring Together is a cooperative effort between Caring Congregations and the Tuscaloosa Housing Authority. It is a social setting day care to provide a safe and stimulating environment for all of the clients participating. Daily activities include exercise, art, games, crafts, story and reminiscing time, parties, and many more. Caring Together is located adjacent to Hay Court on 18th Street. There is a monthly fee of $300 per client. The Center is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 am until 2:00 pm. Lunch and all activities are included in the fee. |

The goal of the Successful Living Center Adult Day Care program is to encourage independence and social interaction. The Center will provide a pleasant, comfortable, safe, homelike atmosphere with proper supervision of participants. The U. J. Robinson Memorial Center is an adult daycare facility located in Mobile, Alabama. We serve adults who need day supervision, as well as the developmentally disabled in the Mobile area, from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. Along with general supervision, we provide social activities like painting, knitting, and exercising. We have 15 staff members on hand to help serve our clients as well as a nurse that visits once per week to do general screenings. The Adult Day Program at UCP of Greater Birmingham provides life enrichment activities for individuals with disabilities.
