Mercy LIFE is a PACE program, Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly. It is a unique program providing a full spectrum of health care services, from primary to acute to long-term care for frail elderly individuals who are certified to require nursing home care. PACE programs are centered on the belief that it is better for the well-being of seniors with chronic care needs and their families to be served in the community whenever possible. At the center of the Mercy LIFE program is the LIFE Health Center. At the Center, clinical and rehabilitative services are coordinated and participants visit, socialize and build meaningful relationships with doctors, nurses and other program participants. Transportation to and from the Center is coordinated for participants. The program is able to provide the entire continuum of care and services to seniors with chronic care needs while maintaining their independence in their homes for as long as possible. |

The U. J. Robinson Memorial Center is an adult daycare facility located in Mobile, Alabama. We serve adults who need day supervision, as well as the developmentally disabled in the Mobile area, from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. Along with general supervision, we provide social activities like painting, knitting, and exercising. We have 15 staff members on hand to help serve our clients as well as a nurse that visits once per week to do general screenings. Our staff to client ratio is 1:2-3 so that we can strive for excellent, personalized care. |

Via has an enduring reputation for providing vital support services to residents in the Mobile Area. GrandFriends, an adult day services program, is one of the most valuable benefits offered. GrandFriends combines structured, supervised activities with a safe, affordable and comfortable environment for elderly adults with dementia or special physical needs. The program is available 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Program members can participate one day a week or up to five days. Program members routinely participate in socialization, recreation and exercise activities that are focused on maintaining independence, dignity and life enjoyment within the scope of their individual abilities. Breakfast, a hot lunch and an afternoon snack are provided daily. The GrandFriends staff consists of Certified Nursing Assistants, a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, fitness trainers, and trained companions and volunteers. They are all dedicated to helping families who are confronted with the challenges of Alzheimer’s disease and other age-related issues. The program is dedicated to providing care-givers with much needed respite. Family members and friends are able to continue their daily routines knowing that their loved one is in a caring environment that fosters safety and activity. |
