Details: Caring Together Adult Day Care has been providing services in the Tuscaloosa area since 2007. It is a day program to enhance quality of life for adults with memory disorders who are no longer able to care for themselves. The eligible memory disorders include Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Pick’s, Huntington’s, brain tumors, stroke, alcoholism related, and trauma induced dementias. Caring Together is a cooperative effort between Caring Congregations and the Tuscaloosa Housing Authority. It is a social setting day care to provide a safe and stimulating environment for all of the clients participating. Daily activities include exercise, art, games, crafts, story and reminiscing time, parties, and many more. Caring Together is located adjacent to Hay Court on 18th Street. There is a monthly fee of $300 per client. The Center is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 am until 2:00 pm. Lunch and all activities are included in the fee.
