Details: LAS TRAMPAS:ACCESSART is a program providing a supportive learning and work environment for people with developmental, physical and emotional disabilities. Our mission is to encourage and sustain creative development, work skills and social integration of people with developmental, physical and emotional disabilities, so that they are more fully able to function as active members of the community. Artists are offered the opportunity to produce, exhibit and market their work through the LAS TRAMPAS:ACCESSART gallery and are supported by community outreach and inclusion in existing fine arts venues. LAS TRAMPAS:ACCESSART goal is to facilitate creative development and advance artistic accomplishment. This program is dedicated to the idea that artists with disabilities shall be integrated into the daily cultural life of the community and contribute their creative identity to the fabric of society. In recent years public awareness of the art of people with disabilities has grown from a marginal interest to a major component of the cultural life of our society. As people with disabilities have become more visible and active so have their creative contributions been recognized. LAS TRAMPAS:ACCESSART provides a creative focus for the energies of artists with disabilities and advocates with them for increased inclusion in all aspects of community life. Building upon a foundation of excellence. LAS TRAMPAS:ACCESSART is a program with an extensive foundation in the field of services for people with developmental disabilities as well as expertise with community based art programs. They are committed to excellent service for artists with disabilities, and are capable of establishing an outstanding level of program wherever a need may exist. Creative instruction and development, work and life skills, support and advocacy, exhibition and sales, social inclusion and visibility, public awareness and community values.
