Details: NYC Health + Hospitals/McKinney operates two Adult Day Healthcare Programs: one on-site and the other in Far Rockaway, Queens. They are community-based programs that conduct medical monitoring under the supervision of a physician. A registered nurse monitors blood pressure, blood sugar, medications and other health conditions. We provide door-to-door transportation in modern, wheelchair-accessible vehicles. This allows those who need physical assistance or who are wheelchair-bound to leave their homes and participate in social and therapeutic activities. Dental, podiatry and optometry consultations are also available. Primary care continues to be provided by the registrants’ community physician.
