Details: Mychal’s Learning Place believes that children and adults with developmental disabilities deserve to be challenged with opportunities that build self-esteem and independence, creating long term success for life. Mychal’s Path to Independence is an Adult Day Program for individuals with developmental disabilities ages 18-30 (18 with diploma or 22 with a certificate of completion). The primary goal is to prepare the students for adulthood through educational/prevocational, life skills training that will foster appropriate behaviors, independence, employment, volunteerism and increased self-esteem. We will provide our students with the training and support necessary to live independently with support services and secure employment or volunteer placement by providing our students hands on training in real life settings.
