Details: VCUHS employees who are caring for an aging adult - any adult, regardless of the relationship to the employee - can take advantage of the VCUHS on-site Adult Day Services Program. Located in the same facility as the Child Care Center, our Adult Day Services Program helps seniors establish social relationships in an inviting and comfortable environment. Seniors may sit around the “dining room†table and engage in conversations about current events, or, on a pretty day, they may enjoy watching children from the Child Care Center play outside. During summer months, they may even venture out to tend tomato plants in the garden. Some sign up for routine trips to the State Capitol and the Botanical Gardens while others prefer to quietly pet visiting therapy dogs.
