Details: The Adult Day Care program provides supervised activities and socialization for adults who have dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, or physical and /or mental disabilities. Trained staff plan a program designed to entertain and challenge participants. The Program is open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:30am to 4:00pm and transportation is available to and from the Center. Prior to admission a participant must have a doctor’s certification of need. An appointment will be set up after this is received to complete an assessment. This program is sponsored by the Deming Luna County Commission on Aging at no charge to the participant. Funding is obtained under contract with the NCNMEDD Non-Metro Area on Agency, Aging & Long Term Services and the City and County Governments. To qualify for this service, a doctor must submit a letter of need or a referral must be submitted from Adult Protective Services.
