We also have a Wellness Director, who manages the patients/residents, assists with medications, provides patient/family education, coordinates with Hospice when necessary, addresses overall healthcare concerns, and sheâ€™s diligent about fall prevention. All of our staff is directed by a State licensed Health Care Administrator, Trevas Younger. It will be evident to you after one tour or visit that she has a special fondness for this segment of the population. Our CareGiver to resident ratio is 1:6 probably the best in Las Cruces. The DOH requires 1:15 which is not adequate. We also provide Respite Care for an occasional night, weekend or vacation break for the caregiver or family members. In addition, we are a fully-licensed, Adult Day Care in Las Cruces offering hourly, half or full day, care for seniors or developmentally disabled. We offer dementia services, but we maintain independence for our residents and are not a locked unit. We also coordinate with the Sheriffâ€™s department, Save a Life, GPS tracking.We offer value in our fixed pricing and have no hidden points or costly surprises at the end of the month.

The Program is open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:30am to 4:00pm and transportation is available to and from the Center. Prior to admission a participant must have a doctorâ€™s certification of need. An appointment will be set up after this is received to complete an assessment. This program is sponsored by the Deming Luna County Commission on Aging at no charge to the participant. Funding is obtained under contract with the NCNMEDD Non-Metro Area on Agency, Aging & Long Term Services and the City and County Governments. To qualify for this service, a doctor must submit a letter of need or a referral must be submitted from Adult Protective Services.

Adelante Compadres Senior Center 5411 Osuna Rd NE Albuquerque NM 87109 (505) 341-7135	Many years ago, Adelante found it imperative to begin addressing the needs of our aging population and created services that support the needs of seniors. Adelante felt there were too few options to families who wanted to avoid nursing homes for their loved ones, and would prefer more flexible, community-based services. Today, Adelante provides respite, part-time and as needed services for elders at the Compadres Senior Center conveniently located in Albuquerqueâ€™s northeast heights. On-site activities at Compadres are focused on the three activities proven to help seniors maintain their mental and physical abilities â€“ fine arts, gardening, and fitness. Compadres includes group and individual activities like computers, low-impact exercise, music, movies, games, working in the onsite garden, fine arts, crafts, seasonal activities, and books or newspapers read by staff. Compadres also offers lots of activities in the community like visiting community centers, shopping, and attending cultural and recreational events. Medication assistance and some nursing services are also available, and like all Adelante sites, Compadres is staffed by caring people who have been trained carefully and who have passed background checks. Adelante currently accepts DD Waiver funding in addition to private pay seniors. Pricing for private pay begins at $8.50 per hour, but is dependent on the needs of the senior to be supported. The agency has also been approved for COLTS-C and should be able to accept that funding soon.
