Details: Anyone 16 years of age or older who has difficulty with two or more activities of daily living (ADLs) such as cooking, bathing, dressing and taking medications is eligible to enroll with the support of his/her physician. The over-arching mission of adult care services is to assist people in maintaining or improving their quality of life, to help them remain in the community and to avert premature institutionalization. Adult Care provides a small breakfast, a big lunch and a light afternoon snack. All meals are approved by a registered dietician. Special menus are available with doctor's orders. Adult Care also provides safe and dependable transportation to and from the center and to most medical appointments. We offer marketing, bowling, day trips, festivals, train rides, lunches at area restaurants, arts and crafts, bingo, card games, Bible study, talent shows and special entertainment such as singers, dancers and motivational speakers.
