Details: Tierra del Sol Foundation (established in Sunland in 1971) serves our community by enabling individuals with disabilities to establish meaningful and productive lives and to contribute to the economic, cultural and civic vitality of their communities. Tierra serves the entire community by helping over 500 men and women with developmental disabilities to contribute to society through community volunteerism, creative artistic expression, and gainful employment. Nearly 100 worthy community organizations are made stronger each day by the volunteer efforts of the people we serve.  Tierra participants are empowered to earn wages in entry-level position- and these are dollars spent right back into the local economy. Tierra is proud of its 2011 EXEMPLARY accreditation in the highest standing by CARF, the Rehabilitation Accreditation Commission. This high standing proves Tierra’s reputation for service excellence.
