Our Adult Day Health Program helps families to manage the responsibility of caring for an elderly or frail adult who is living at home. We provide medical care and supervision for elderly persons and disabled adults over the age of 18 who are unable to remain at home unattended during the course of the working day. We enable family members to continue working by providing respite for caregivers. The Saint Francis Adult Day Health program provides family members with peace of mind knowing their loved one is receiving exceptional care. Participation in our Adult Day Health program allows the individual to enjoy companionship and care while his/her family attends to their daily commitments without worry. Each and every individual who enters the plan is treated like a member of our family. Our nurses work with the individual's private physician to develop a personalized treatment plan, ensuring that we give the best possible care and attention to the individual's special needs. |

New England Dream Center Adult Day Health 5 Chestnut St. Worcester MA 01609 (508) 757-3333 |
The Adult Day Health program at the Dream Center provides neurologically challenged adults with the tools and confidence to live independent, expressive lives. Our passionate staff and volunteers care for the mental and physical needs of participants in an accepting environment that is less like a hospital and more like someone’s home. Activities five days a week include games, singing, craft-making, and creative writing. We provide participants with multiple creative outlets that encourage them to express thoughts and feelings that may have otherwise gone unsaid. Participants who are physically capable go on exercise trips, such as to a bowling alley. Those with physical restrictions are given physical therapy. Everyone receives a continental breakfast, hot lunch and snack planned by a nutritionist and prepared by our in-house chef. There are also two registered nurses who quietly monitor medical needs throughout the day. Adult Day Health inspires a voice in those who have been silent for years, and provides a home to many who have never had one. |
Adult Day Health at Seven Hills 81 Hope Ave. Worcester MA 01603 (508) 983-1366 |
Adult Day Health (ADH) at Seven Hills is available in Worcester, Massachusetts, and Woonsocket, Rhode Island. ADH is a therapeutic program that supports adults with disabilities and/or seniors who have nursing as well as activities of daily living needs (e.g., personal care, dining). The program offers a flexible day alternative to nursing or other long-term care facilities. Participants are typically facing challenges that require nursing oversight and support, approaching retirement, or would otherwise benefit from a socialization program that is activity-based. Participants are offered a variety of therapeutic, social, and recreational activities both on-site and in the community. ADH provides major support for elderly spouses and working caregivers who are committed to keeping elders and adults with disabilities out of nursing homes as long as possible. Participants enjoy the safety and health benefits of the day program and can return home for the remainder of their time. ADH participants are adults and seniors who would be at risk in the community and would require more expensive health care or long-term care facilities. At Seven Hills, we are committed to providing a flexible, dignified environment with compassionate care. |
Day Club at Dodge Park Rest Home 101 Randolph Road Worcester MA 01606 (508) 853-8180 |
The Day Club at Dodge Park Rest Home, provide a break (respite) to the caregiver while providing some health services, therapeutic services, and social activities for the frail elderly and those diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia, chronic illnesses, traumatic brain injuries, developmental disabilities, and other problems that increase their care needs. The Day Club at Dodge Park Rest Home, is a unique program providing social services exclusively to that population. Other centers in town serve the broader and younger population and don’t have the experience caring for this segment of the population. One difference between traditional adult respite, both group and in-home care, and The Day Club at Dodge Park Rest Home is that adult day centers not only provide respite to family caregivers but also therapeutic care and mental stimulation for cognitively and physically impaired older adults which many in-home care program failed to do. |
