Primrose Alzheimer's Living, Inc. is a California corporation providing services to individuals with memory impairments. Primrose communities operate under a residential care facility for the elderly (RCFE) license which is sometimes referred to as an assisted living facility. The Primrose Day Club is a specialized social day program for people with Alzheimer’s and related forms of dementias. The Day Program includes meals, snacks, assistance with special diets and medications, supervision, and a therapeutic activities program. |

Growth Opportunities is a day program for adults with developmental disabilities, with special services for seniors and those who are medically fragile. We provide leisure and recreational activities for our clients who need assistance with many of the activities of daily life and support in accessing their community. Our program provides community outings, games, arts and crafts, music appreciation, as well as communication and self-help skills training. An essential part of GO's mission is community integration through training and activities that occur IN the community and allows direct participation in society of which they are a part. In 1967, a group of parents organized the first community-based adult program in Sonoma County called the Manual Skills Training Center. Two years later in 1969, the State Legislature passed the Lanterman Act which affirmed that people with disabilities had the same rights as all other people and that it is the responsibility of government to ensure that those rights are achieved. The Lanterman Act set the stage for the establishment of community-based support services to assist and advocate for people with disabilities. |
