On Lok Lifeways pioneered the model of care known as "Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly" or PACE. On Lok Lifeways' PACE allows seniors who are ill or disabled to live in their own home, whether home is a family residence, apartment, retirement village or hotel room. On Lok Lifeways centers are lively places where participants have access to medical care, social activities, exercise and meals. Participants may attend the centers from one to five days a week, based on the team’s recommendations and the senior’s needs and interests. |

Yu-Ai Kai Senior Day Services Program offers specialized recreation and socialization opportunities for the frail, isolated older adult. Tailored to the needs of the Japanese American elderly, this program is run bilingually and bi-culturally in Japanese and English by paid staff and volunteers. Yu-Ai Kai's Senior Day Services is open to adults 60 years or older who need support and help in their daily activities. All Senior Day Services' participants are asked to support the program with contributions based on a sliding scale. No one is denied service due to inability to pay. Senior Day Services is licensed by the State of California, Department of Social Services Community Care. |
