Adult Day Health Care (ADHC) is a community-based program that provides care, transportation, social and recreational activities, physical, occupational and speech therapies, a noon hot meal, therapeutic groups and family support. Some support is available for Alzheimer’s participants to help meet the needs of unpaid caregivers and provide a meaningful experience for persons with dementia. The Alzheimer’s Support Group meets each month for caregivers. Any adult eighteen years of age or older whose health problems are such that support services are needed to maintain independence is eligible to enroll. |
