NCI Affiliates and Achievement House are 501c 3 non-profit agencies serving the vocational and community living needs of persons with developmental disabilities in San Luis Obispo, northern Santa Barbara, and Monterey counties. We provide an array of vocational services and programs to assist individuals in developing appropriate workplace skills and behaviors so as to enhance individual productivity, independence, and community integration. Our philosophy is that in order to be an effective program, we must work in partnership with the individual and his/her support network. We have effectively demonstrated that individuals with even the most severe limitations can be gainfully employed and become contributing members of their respective communities if appropriate support is developed and maintained. |

The Adult Day Center (ADC) is an affordable adult day care that focuses on providing respite to family caregivers and quality care to aging loved ones with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia. ADC provides a supportive day care environment that assists seniors with early stages of Alzheimer’s, dementia, or cognitive impairments, reach and maintain their highest level of cognitive function. The program is designed to keep seniors independent and living outside of assisted living and nursing homes for as long as possible. |
