Our vision statement is important, too. It reads: We envision a caring and involved community, where developmentally disabled adults are embraced by their fellow citizens as unique and special individuals who require easy access to and the financial support necessary for participating in positive educational programs that help them to realize their fullest potential possible. Our focus is on providing a safe, friendly and happy environment, where we work one-on-one with clients to improve their health and well being through activities that encourage the attainment of basic life skills, foster socialization with others and promote recreational activities and exercise. Many of our clients have severe functional impairments and require hands-on and experienced staff team care for tasks that include toileting, tube feeding, diaper changing, ostomy/catheter care and medication oversight. The average age of our clients is 40, and the mental age range is from 3 months to 13 years. What makes us unique is that we accept individuals other organizations cannot or will not accept. We are licensed by the Oklahoma State Department of Health and Department of Human Services for 96 clients. To qualify for enrollment an individual must be 18 years of age or older.
