PACE- FAIRFIELD 350 CHADBOURNE RD. FAIRFIELD CA 94534 (707) 427-1731 |
In January of 2013 we moved Pace Suisun into a newly rennovated space at 350 Chadbourne Rd. in Fairfield. The move enabled Pace Solano to begin providing nursing services in the Faifield area. The new location was specifically designed to cater to all of the individuals attending the day program formerly known as Pace Suisun and the name of the program was officially changed to Pace Fairfield. At Pace Fairfield we are not just in the community. We are a part of our community. Pace Fairfield has received awards from the Suisun Police Department and the Suisun City Council for their work with the National Night Out and the Adopt-A-Park programs. The Pace Fairfield Singers have performed at the Fairfield Farmers Market, Fairfield Christmas Tree Lighting, Annual Caregiver’s Day, Solano County Mayor’s Luncheon, Solano County Fair, North Bay Regional Center and the Sonoma Developmental Center Opportunities Fair. We love to go on field trips! We’ve gone on tours to the New Fairfield Firehouse, Jelly Belly, Budweiser, Western Railroad Museum, Collinsville, Glasshoffs, Larry’s Produce, Lake Berryessa, Benicia, Rio Vista, Historical Mare Island and sports games such as Golden State Warriors, Monarchs, Wrestling, Oakland A’s, and the San Francisco Giants. We also enjoy attending theatrical performances. We have attended: The Nutcracker at Oakland’s Paramount Theatre, A Christmas Carol at San Francisco’s Curran Theatre and Cinderella which starred one of our clients. Working is an important part of our client’s lives. It gives them independence and a sense of worth that only seeing a job well done can provide. We currently work for Pizza Hut, Solano Properties, Napa Valley PSI, Inc., Geri Town Mall, Vacaville Recycling Center, City of Fairfield, United Church Of Christ, California Highway Patrol and complete our own onsite janitorial. We also have a few participants that perform clerical duties such as shredding and labeling. The classes we currently offer are: Art, Beauty, Communication, Community Awareness, Computer, Cooking , Craft, Creative Expression, Dance, Fitness For Life, Gardening, Geography, Life Skills, Money, Music, Music Therapy, Nutrition, Phonics, Reading and Writing, Relationship Class, Safety, Sensory, Sensory Art, Sensory Snack, Sign Language, and The Fairfield Explorers. We enjoy the community by visiting various parks, the Library, the Civic Center, the Senior Center, and the Train Station. Our participants also enjoy fishing in the Marina, going out to lunch and bowling. Pace Solano has an agency-wide dance twice a year which our clients enjoy immensely. They are able to help with deciding a theme, creating décor and decorating the venue. Once the hard work has been completed the participants can dance the night away! |
