Details: James L. West is a not-for-profit organization that serves people with Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders and their families in a compassionate and spiritual environment. The Center is dedicated to providing individualized care and support to enhance the quality and dignity of each person’s life throughout the course of the disease. By participating in meaningful research and sharing its experience and knowledge, the Center is committed to enriching lives now and in the future. For families who care for their loved ones at home, the Center’s Adult Day Program provides flexible, secure, and affordable assistance from highly trained staff. The program is available for a full day or only a few hours, five days a week or only one, every week of the year or just occasionally. Licensed by the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services, the James L. West Adult Day Program is set in a spacious, secure cottage with an adjoining garden. Program participants are free to join many of the same activities and outings that our residents enjoy. For many families, the Adult Day Program provides a comfortable transition to residential living at the Center.
