Details: The Adult Day Program is an organized program of services during the day in a community group setting for the purpose of supporting adult’s personal independence, and promoting their social, physical, and emotional well being. Persons served through this program are disabled and handicapped persons who have impairments which prohibit them from living independently without supportive services and which put them at risk of becoming institutionalized. Individuals are brought from their home to the day program while the family members they live with go to work, grocery store, bank, etc. As required for North Carolina State licenses, clients in this program are supervised by a Registered Nurse and support staff.
