The primary goal of the program is to provide a safe transition location for adults to interact, complete morning activities, socialize, and fill a need for early morning supervision due to parental work obligations and/or transportation connection difficulties. The N.A.P.D. T.B.C. offers activities before the day program to adults with developmental disabilities in a variety of areas related to leisure activities and socialization. It also provides supervised activities where adults with developmental disabilities can interact appropriately with other people of varying backgrounds and ages. The T.B.C. staff will work cooperatively with clients and parents or care providers to ensure satisfaction for each participant. Clientele will be encouraged to participate in an activity of their choice while waiting for transportation to their day program.
