The Shepherd's Haven Day Center is a ministry to individuals with developmental disabilities (20 years or older) providing a safe, exciting place to have day activities ranging from work related to fun-filled experiences in a Christian setting. The vision to create a place to offer personal development and activities has grown from concept to reality with the opening on February 1, 2006. Currently, Shepherd's Haven Day Center is being housed at Bellevue Baptist Church. This program is licensed by the Department of Human Services. Shepherd's Haven Day Center is open each weekday from 9:00-3:30 throughout the year, and is operated by a caring, experienced staff and loving volunteers. Each week the participants spend their time working with pottery, and participating in physical activities, field trips, and devotionals. The monthly cost for each participant is $350.
