Details (Max 1000 characters):: Our Adult Day Center, Alzheimerâ€™s Respite Program, offers social interaction and allows our clients to get their life back. Dementia takes a heavy toll and can leave a once vital, active person just staring at a television. Becoming part of a community again can make all the difference for both the client and the caregiver. The Tender serves clients age 60 and over or anyone of any age living with Alzheimerâ€™s disease/related dementia. Clients typically enjoy two to five days a week, from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm, at our facility at Mt. Laurel, NJ. Our activities include guided exercise, discussions, sing-a-longs, games including bingo, cards, bowling, basketball, volleyball, shuffleboard, and skee ball. A snack and hot lunch are also served daily. There may be grants available to help cover the cost of the program. The Tender is a 501c3 charity and we also ask for donations to help support our programs.
