Details (Max 1000 characters):: The Lina Adult Day Care Program is directed towards those elderly individuals whose physical and/or emotional disabilities rendered them ineligible for participating in other senior programs available in community. As a medical model we provide comprehensive health, social and related support services for dependent adults in a safe, structured, community based group settings and provide respite and support for caregivers. The essential components of care provided by Lina Adult Day Care Program are Nursing, Recreation, Nutrition, Transportation, and Social Services. At our Lina Adult Day Care/ Community Center our seniors can participate in fun activities such as dance lessons, foreign language lessons, karaoke, birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays celebrations; we have wide range of books and CDs, and DVDs available for our participantsâ€™ entertainment. For the well being of our clients Recreation Aids of Day Care Centers carry out daily morning physical exercises with them, conduct breathing and stretching exercises, offer company during outside walks. Lina Adult Day Care / Community Center have been approved by CT Department of Education to participate in the CACFP (Child and Adult Care Food Program). The participation in this Federally Funded program ensures that our clients receive nutrition they need as a routine part of their day care program. In our Lina Adult Day Care/ Community Center we serve Breakfast and Lunch that are daily prepared in our central kitchen. All items in the menu have been approved by Dietitian; hence our menu includes all necessary and essentials vitamins and ingredients, providing variety of nutritious foods. Lina Adult Day Care / Community Center, LLC has two sites in Connecticut â€“Hamden and Stamford. Theses locations allow Lina Adult Day Care to offer day care services to the Fairfield and New Haven counties residents. Our centers are open Monday through Saturday 8:30 am â€“ 3 pm.
