Details (Max 1000 characters):: THE GATHERING PLACE is a happy, welcoming place for seniors of all ages. Here your mom or dad, sister or brother, friend or neighbor can enjoy a variety of activities or just sit and socialize with others. We are NOT a nursing home. We are a SOCIAL day center. Our SOCIAL day center is devoted to giving your relative or friend more self-esteem, more activities that you may not have time to provide, more downright FUN! Why not? They certainly earned it. You, as the caregiver, have earned a few hours to yourself as well. Your loved one can come and be our guest one, two or three days weekly or just now and then. The number of days chosen for your loved one is as open as you need it to be. THE GATHERING PLACE is a beautiful, open-spaced facility, completely wheelchair/walker accessible. We are licensed to have 20 guests but want to keep it small and plan to operate with 12. The staff has the time to listen and learn about each guest who joins us regularly or on a now-and-then basis. Our goal is to provide a caring, stimulating and enjoyable environment which enhances self-esteem and encourages socialization. We want to help our guests achieve the best quality of life possible. We understand that one solution does not fit every situation, so we take the time to listen and learn about the needs and interests of each guest. Additionally, when you know that your loved one is safe, secure, and happy, you receive much-needed support and a bit of respite.
