Details (Max 1000 characters):: The Center at 20 Miner St in Providence is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. Participants are welcome to attend the Center at 209 Elmwood Ave in Providence on weekends if they so wish. Our Miner Street Center is like a dream come true. We think of it as our Super Center. First, there is a lovely enclosed yard, complete with flower and vegetable gardens. During the warm weather, many activities are held out of doors or participants, if they wish, can simply sit and relax while enjoying the fresh air and sunshine. Next, there is the interior of the building which is equally impressive and has space to accommodate numerous activities. In the main activity area, there are ongoing crafts, games and puzzles as well as several tables for dominos. Laughter, music and conversation is also a big part of this area. Then, there are classrooms for health education, ESL and Spanish literacy as well as an open-space for meditation, yoga and gentle exercises. For those who seek some quieter activities, thereâ€™s the computer lab, library and pool room. Our Wellness Center includes the nurseâ€™s office, the personalized exercise area and the Vida Script Pharmacy office. Here, participants receive individual attention, guidance and support in addressing their problems and concerns. Our spacious and cheerful dining area is a welcoming spot for participants throughout the day. A healthy breakfast, delicious lunch and nutritious snacks are served with a smile. At the end of the day, participants leave the Center at 20 Miner St with a sense of satisfaction for today, they have taken a few more steps in their journey to improving their health and well-being.
