Details (Max 1000 characters):: Since 1987, the Kirkpatrick Day Program has provided high quality care in a safe and secure environment located near Downtown Syracuse. Day services like ours provide reliable support and care to its participants, while enhancing the overall quality of life for caregivers. Our staff of trained dementia care professionals designs activities based on the individual needs and interests of the participant, with the goal of stimulating cognition and maintaining memory. Simply put: Caring Is Our Passion. Most adult day services are open to any older adult that wishes to attend. Admission to the Kirkpatrick Day Program is reserved for individuals with Alzheimerâ€™s disease or another form of dementia, including Pickâ€™s disease, Lewy Body dementia, Parkinsonâ€™s disease, stroke-related or vascular dementia, and Huntingtonâ€™s disease. A doctorâ€™s diagnosis is not required for attending, however we encourage anyone who suspects that dementia affects them or their loved one to consult a medical professional.
