As the cost of assisted living facilities, skilled care and nursing home placement continues to rise, Lifesteps day care program is an affordable option offered at a fraction of the price. Benefits for the participant in day care can include longer independence for the adult who may not need 24/7 care, slower deterioration, companionship, socialization and improvement in individual function. The program can delay placement for assisted living, skilled care, or nursing homes and provide a sense of peace and respite for caregivers and family members.
