Details (Max 1000 characters):: Laclede County Association for Retarded Citizens, known as Laclede Co. ARC or LARC, was incorporated in January 1983. Doing business as Laclede Developmental Training Center, (LDTC) they started at the Lutheran Church with a day program for individuals with mental retardation. In the past 24 years we have moved several times, finally settling in 2000 at 200 Lawson Ave. Lebanon, Missouri. In the spring of 2004 LARC added Linking Interest with Needed Kare (LINK), an Adult Day Care, serving Laclede, Wright and Webster counties. LARC is also licensed to provide respite care and ISL services. It is the goal of the LARC to provide services, which assist individuals in achieving their goals. It is our belief that services provided should be services that are desired by the individuals served, and that their desires would drive our service delivery system. LINK is licensed by the Department of Health & Senior Services and are approved by Medicaid. Our goal is to enhance the lives of people with developmental disabilities and older citizens by providing a licensed community day care center. The program emphasizes a safe, stimulating environment which is designed to assist individuals to develop, retain and increase skills and interests related to the developmental or aging process. The focus of the program is to assist individuals to adjust to a changing lifestyle or for individuals who have similar needs regardless of age.
