Details (Max 1000 characters):: Common Sense Services, a non-profit 501(c)3 charitable agency, was founded in 1990 with a specific mission in mind... to uniquely and efficiently serve the seniors living in our community. We started with only one client but over the years our customer base has widened and we have been able to provide a variety of additional services. Even though the company has grown, we have never deviated from our core mission..."to work to strengthen people's abilities and dignity...with respect and integrity." Our Adult Day Services Program is tailored to meet each participant's individual and personal needs. We offer a safe, comfortable place to enjoy social and recreational activities with peers, and provide any and all assistance needed throughout the day. We have a wide variety of services available to our Adult Day participants. Everyday at Common Sense is fun and enjoyable. We start the day with a social hour so we can catch up with friends and keep up on current events. We follow that with a variety of activities throughout the day, a hot lunch at noon, and a snack at 2:00PM. Every day is different and exciting but planned around a basic structure to help build a familiar routine. Throughout the year we plan outings to interesting places. In the past we have enjoyed a picnic in Phalen Park, visited the Vietnam Memorial Wall when it was at South Saint Paul High School, went to the river on a fishing trip, and traveled to see the Ice Palace in Saint Paul.
