Details (Max 1000 characters):: Mainstream services both ambulatory and non-ambulatory clients with moderate to severe developmental disabilities. We believe that each client is a unique individual with Unique personal interests, aptitudes and skills. Mainstream emphasizes developing self help skills, social skills, and daily living skills for each individual client. Our program includes staff working with clients on daily socialization within the work site and the community. Our clients participate in artistic exploration, music appreciation, skill building exercises and sessions of exercise including endurance and mobility to improve circulation and to promote a healthy life style. The Activity Center (AC) of Mainstream and the Adult Developmental Center (ADC) provides a day program for adults 18 years of age and older. The AC Program and the ADC program both work to benefit each program participant by providing program choice, improved quality of life, community integration, freedom and choice of activity. Each participant has the opportunity to engage and interact in age-appropriate activities which will occur in natural environments.
