Details: University Hospitals Parma Medical Center understands that caring for an impaired or frail adult is difficult to do alone. That is why we developed our full-service adult day care center, the ElderCenter. UH Parma Medical Center’s ElderCenter is designed as an alternative to nursing homes, while offering the peace of mind and capabilities of a full-service facility. Because we know that the care and well-being of a loved one is always top priority for family members, we treat our ElderCenter members like members of our own family. ElderCenter is a non-profit, secured, wheelchair-accessible facility that can provide a few hours or full days of rest to adults in need. Participants range in age from 18 to 100+ years old with varying ability levels. Each participant has a personalized plan of care tailored to meet his or her individual social, emotional, recreational, physical and mental needs. Our members look forward to visiting the ElderCenter to participate in activities appropriate for mild to moderately impaired adults.
