Website: http://www.good-sam.com/
Ownership Type: NON-PROFIT
Specialty Programs Available: Offer social stimulation, rehabilitation, healthcare and support services, including therapy, as needed; Monitor each participant’s health status
Days Open: MON-FRI
Normal Business Hours: 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM
Details: Adult day services are designed to help adults socialize, enjoy peer support and receive health and social services in a stimulating and supportive environment. These services also enable primary caregivers to work or pursue other daytime activities, and provide a cost-effective alternative to full-time nursing home care. Adult day services are directed specifically toward nutrition, fellowship, and leisure, restorative and wellness activities. These components provide support and meet the needs of functionally and/or cognitively impaired adults by fostering independence in a non-threatening environment. Specific nursing care, therapies and related services also can be provided in accordance with a physician’s orders. Our special care unit, the Lighthouse, is a smaller environment with staff members trained to meet all the needs of people with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. Clients are encouraged to bring personal items, but we can provide supplies for additional fees.
