Details: The Adult Day Memory Care Program provides medical supervision, social services, nutritional monitoring and recreational events within a safe, structured, comfortable environment. The program is located on the same campus as Hingham’s Harbor House Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, which provides a unique opportunity to utilize the center and its many amenities. These include the private sitting and living rooms and the multiple recreational areas. The new day-health program features activities which stimulate the senses such as cooking groups and pet therapy as well as intergenerational activities with the on-site child day care. Medical supervision and nutritional monitoring are an integral part of the Adult Day Memory Care Program. The program’s team of professionals includes nurses, social workers, nursing assistants and recreational personnel who have all received specialized training in caring for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.
