The Elizabeth Richardson Center - Life Skills

Details: Life Skills is designed to teach participants how to live independent lives. Skills such as money management, personal hygiene, math and reading skills are taught individually and in small groups. A computer lab is available and leisure activities including drama classes, arts and crafts and a shop class are offered regularly. An exercise room equipped with weights, a treadmill, exercise bicycle, Nintendo Wii and an Xbox Kinect assists in keeping Life Skills participants fit and active. Delivering Meals on Wheels in Springdale and being part of the Kiwanis Aktion Club are just two of the many options for community involvement. ERC also participates in a Special Olympics program which includes volleyball, basketball, track and field, bocce, power lifting, bowling, swimming and unified softball teams.
