Details: The Mission of Madison County Council for Developmentally Disabled shall be to serve developmentally disabled citizens of Madison County and surrounding areas by increasing community awareness and prevention, providing need assessment, referral services, habilitation, intervention, respite care, training, employment opportunities, educational, recreational opportunities, residential, transportation assistance; and other support programs consistent with improving the quality of living for developmentally disabled individuals. All programs and services provided and funded from MCCDD will be consumer oriented developmental programs, as opposed to custodial programs, with a strong emphasis toward consumer choice and community integration.
