Details: A man with a dream and a community with a conscience were brought together providentially in 1960. Reverend Don Davidson who dreamed of a mission for the elderly and the B& PW Club who identified a need in Hereford came together and King’s Manor Methodist Retirement System was the result. The Home opened in 1962 in Hereford, Texas with the support of the Northwest Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church. “King’s Manor Methodist Home†opened in 1962 as a small retirement home, but has responded to the changing needs of seniors by adding services to the facility. The experience of the home should in no way indicate an outdated approach. An involved community and Board has kept the organization cutting edge and now offers: Homes and cottages for independent living, assisted living, nursing care, adult day care services and Samaritan Hospice. An on-site child care adds a unique intergenerational dimension to the Home. Mission: “Caring for the generations through the healing hands of Christ.â€
