Details: Next Step in Day Services, LLC provides Adult Day Programs for individuals who have cognitive disabilities, traumatic brain injuries, autism or individuals who have had difficulties maintaining a stable community placement. The New Berlin Center is geared toward a younger more physically active population. Participants require a high level of structure with consistent, strong role modeling for successful social engagement. Participants have the opportunity for community access on nearly a daily basis. Sports are very popular, baseball, basketball and cycling. Participants exercise daily. The facility has an indoor basketball court and a full size "Duck Pin" bowling alley. In-house activities include arts and crafts, ceramics, table games, billiards, a computer lab, dances and seasonal celebrations. A variety of support groups are offered to assist individuals with anger issues, social conflict resolution and self-esteem. The agency utilizes existing community services such as the park system, public library, YMCA and a “Good Citizenship Club†in partnership with the New Berlin Police Department. Services are facilitated by an experienced staff in a supportive and compassionate environment.
