At the Charles and Rae Kane Center, seniors of all capabilities and walks of life – as well as their families and caregivers – come together in a secure, comfortable atmosphere where they feel truly at home. Here, they can find access to wellness programs, adult day care, social interaction, entertainment, activities and more. The Kane Center is a life center for the elders of our area: their own space, designed to help them live happy, purposeful lives within a supportive social network of their peers and loved ones. Kane is also a multi-generational space: While its services focus on those age 55 and better, many events welcome visitors of all ages, and intergenerational programming is continually being expanded. The Council on Aging of Martin County's Adult Day Club offers a home-away-from-home setting where elders can benefit from social interaction, daily activities, therapy, medical supervision and enhanced care. The Club also provides an easy and convenient way for caregivers to ensure the safety and happiness of their loved ones while they obtain much-needed respite. The Adult Day Club is designed for elders who need assistance with daily living, to help them enjoy life to the fullest. They benefit from social interaction and enhanced care, while their loved ones get much-needed respite. The adult day program is ideal for a wide range of seniors - from those with mild to moderate dementia and/or mobility issues, to high-functioning seniors who are in need of enhanced socialization. Our Day Club has been carefully designed to simultaneously provide several levels of care for everyone. |
