Millennium Adult Day Care, Inc. is a unique facility in that it is innovative with activities, it accepts adults of any age with functional disabilities, it provides daily hot meals designed specifically around the client’s prescribed diet, and it is staffed with highly educated RNs and LPNs. We are truly client focused! However, we do not stop there. We strongly encourage family members to participate in the client’s activities by either signing up as volunteers, or suggesting safe activities for all the residents. Little Rock Enrichment Center 13003 Stacy Lane Little Rock AR 72211 (501) 310-1150 |
Little Rock Enrichment Center (LREC) is a daytime facility. We are dedicated to providing a organized program of continued rehabilitative, therapeutic, supportive health and social services. In addition to adult day care, LREC is the only adult day care in the city of Little Rock that is licensed to provide health care. We operate under three umbrellas which are adult day care, adult day health care and adult in-home care . The client's needs as well as the physician's orders determine the specific program. At LREC, there is always a licensed nurse in-house and physical therapy can also be scheduled on-site. Our goal is to prevent premature institutionalization of seniors into nursing homes. Our program is highly focused on motivating seniors to do all that they can in order to slow down the debilitating effects of Alzheimer's Disease, Parkinson's Disease and other common disease processes found in the elderly. |
Chenal Adult Day Center 805 Kirby Road Little Rock AR 72211 (501) 716-9180 |
Chenal Adult Day Center is a home and community-based non-profit that has been caring for families since 2006. Founded to offer an option to nursing home placement Chenal Adult Day Center has become one of Little Rock’s most respected Adult Day Center’s. The non-profit organization has the philosophy of helping keep adult family members at home and in the community. Chenal Adult Day Center offers financial aid assistance to those in need. Founder and Director Lynda Sikes, Master’s level Speech-Language Pathologist opened Chenal Adult Day Center in the Spring of 2006 to assist the Elder Population in Little Rock and the surrounding area. Offering a safe daytime environment rich in socialization, fellowship and friendships, meals and snacks, activities, medication management, and assistance with ADL’s. The program is based on keeping skills and abilities functioning as high as possible in each individual that attends the Center. Tasks, games and handcrafts not only work on fine-motor control and dexterity but address skills such as attending to task, following directions, categorization and organization. We relate to the clients practicing validation therapy, which involves listening and reflecting the clients statement and feelings and redirect in a positive fashion when necessary. In the Spring of 2008, the Center was able to acquire a home in West Little Rock, off of Chenal Parkway. This new location enables the Center to offer quiet surroundings to our residents with access to our beautiful backyard in a secure, safe environment. |
