The center enables caregivers to continue working and provides respite from the 24/7 care needed; a great opportunity for you to restore, re-energize, and provide the best care for your loved one. In addition to giving the family this vital respite, the center allows you, the caregiver, to get some time for shopping, banking, cleaning the house, etc. While you are taking care of chores and errands, your loved one can be cared for by The Salvation Army Henderson Adult Day Care. Participants may choose to attend full or half days on a schedule according to the needs of the individual and caregiver. For those who qualify, Medicaid and CHIPS pay for adult day care. |

The Adult Day Care Center of Henderson consists of approximately 7,000 square feet of program space including multi-purpose activity room, library/computer room, arts & crafts center, garden serenity patio, outdoor activity zone and a community meeting room to provide a state of the art resource for both caregiver and professional education. Offices for social work and management, staff break room and kitchen round out the resources of this exciting facility. The facility is the result of a grass roots community effort by a group of Henderson citizens who identified a need for an inpatient hospice facility and adult day care facility within their community. Study of community data regarding the increasing aged population in Southern Nevada supported their perception. |
