MU Adult Day Connection (formerly "Eldercare") participants are adults who benefit from therapeutic activities, exercise, nursing care and supervision. While participants enjoy socializing at an Adult Day Connection center, family caregivers are free to work, shop or enjoy some free time. Not long ago, our name was changed from "Eldercare" to reflect our mission to care for adults of all ages. Participants attend one to five days a week and the daily fee includes a hot noon meal. While Medicaid and some insurance policies pay for adult day health care, Medicare does not. Financial assistance is available for those individuals or families who qualify. The MU Adult Day Connection receives funds from the VA, the City of Columbia and Boone County.
