PRIME TIME Adult Care, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that was originated in 1985 as an outreach ministry of Christ United Methodist Church. This ministry has grown into a five-day-a-week program that is liscensed by the Pennsylania State Department of Aging. The goal of PRIME TIME is to activate, reinstitute, or maintain function of the elderly clients to the greatest extent of their ability and add to their quality of life. With this help, individuals are able to remain at home for a longer period of time--thus delaying the costly and emotional stress of 24-hour residential settings. While the family member is here, their caregivers receive the respite time that is beneficial to their physical and emotional well-being. The program includes a separate unit for individuals who experience symptoms of emotional anxiety – or for those who need greater staff assistance than can be accommodated in the larger group setting of the original unit. |
