Details: The CCNS Social Adult Day Alzheimer's Program has been serving older adults diagnosed with dementia/Alzheimer's disease and their families throughout Queens since 1988. Our goal is to create an environment that will assist in improving our clients' quality of life. The program serves cognitively impaired individuals aged 60 and older who can benefit from a congregate day care program. This program is designed to offer mental and physical stimulation to the participants and respite for their caregiver. The program provides supportive individual and group counseling for families and friends who are providing support for their loved ones. A suggested contribution is encouraged to support the program. This program is funded by the New York City Department for the Aging.
