Benefits for the participant in day care can include longer independence for the adult who may not need 24/7 care, slower deterioration, companionship, socialization and improvement in individual function. The program can delay placement for assisted living, skilled care, or nursing homes and provide a sense of peace and respite for caregivers and family members. Lifesteps Adult Day Health Service is now an Enhanced Program provider, meeting all requirements of the Center for Medicaid Services.
