Details: ElderCircle’s mission is “to maintain the independence of seniors by linking them, their families and caregivers to servicesâ€, thus enabling them to remain in their homes longer. ElderCircle envisions quality living for all seniors in the ElderCircle service area. Located in the lower level of Manor House in Grand Rapids, Adult Day Services (ADS) is a program designed to meet the individual needs of adults who require assistance with activities of daily living. The goal of ADS is to create a respite for the caregivers, while providing a positive and healthy social experience, in a warm and friendly environment, for adult participants age 18 and older. The co-coordinators of the program, Linda Barth and Amanda Wheelock, are both Certified Caregiver Consultants. Caregiver Consultant Services are designed to help family caregivers as they go through the many changes of the caregiving process. A caregiver consultant can sit down and talk with the family caregiver to assess what needs they have, determine what services are available to meet those needs, and educate them on how to use these services.
