Since 1959, the Vocational Services Division has existed to give individuals with disabilities the opportunity to achieve their full social, vocational, and economic potential. Through specialized training and supervision, individuals learn key work-related skills, allowing them to earn a real wage for a real job. Our employees gain a sense of pride and accomplishment in their achievements and our customers benefit from a trained and eager work force capable of producing consistently high quality work. We currently provide services to over 500 individuals with disabilities The Vocational Services Division provides training and employment opportunities at two vocational centers in Scranton, at the Burnley Workshop in Stroudsburg, and at various satellite locations and partner businesses in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Our facilities boast 80,000 square feet of production and warehouse space. We have provided custodial services since 1986 and are currently contracted to perform custodial services for approximately 1 million square feet of space. This includes custodial services at Tobyhanna Army Depot, Tobyhanna, the Federal Building & Courthouse, Scranton, the Social Security Administration Building, Wilkes-Barre, and the Naval Reserve Center, Avoca. In addition, we provide landscaping services for over 100 acres of land. Our satisfied customers and partners include: Dempsey Uniform & Linen Supply, Department for Motor Vehicles, Gentex Corporation, HarperCollins Publishers, Sanofi Pasteur, and Tobyhanna Army Depot.

Telespond Senior Services, Inc., operates a full service adult day services program for older adults who are in need of supervision, personal care, or nursing services. Participants spend the day in a clean, safe and structured environment. The facility currently serves 40+ clients per day, and is specifically designed for the Alzheimer’s patient. It includes a wandering area indoors and a patio area and yard, where participants grow vegetables and flowers. At Telespond Senior Services, Inc. we focus on your loved ones needs providing a healthy lunch and snacks. Our facility provides a walk in shower and a beauty salon that participants may make regular appointments with an outside beautician that is familiar with handling the special needs of your loved one. The adult day services center boasts a caring and supportive staff, professional nursing care, clean and cheerful facilities, and Occupational, Speech, and Physical therapies are available on-site. Adult Day Care is an affordable alternative to nursing home care, and allows loved ones to remain at home.

LIFE Geisinger (Living Independently for Elders) is recognized by the state of Pennsylvania and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services as a PACE provider. PACE means Programs for All-Inclusive Care of the Elderly - those that offer older adults a variety of services designed to maintain health, prevent nursing home placement, and improve the quality of life. Only selected centers like our LIFE Geisinger locations in Scranton and Kulpmont, Pennsylvania are designated PACE programs. Our team helps caregivers match the elderly individual's needs with the right type and amount of care. The result? More care, less worry.

Since that time a growing number of parents, neighbors, and members of the business and professional communities have faced numerous challenges in advocating for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
