Footprints is a day center that offers a safe, caring and activity oriented place for individuals who suffer from Alzheimer’s disease or one of the other forms of dementia. Footprints provides a structured setting for activities such as socializing, exercise/physical activity, reminiscing, music and art therapy. In addition, The Caregiver Connection Support Group meets monthly and provides support for Alzheimer’s / Dementia Caregivers. Participating in Footprints helps the individual to remain at home and allows the older adult to maintain their role within the family unit, while providing caregivers the time needed to attend to the tasks of daily life, remain in the workforce, or take a much needed break. |
