Sampson County Adult Day/Health Care Center provides care for the aged and disabled adults who need a structured and supervised day program of activities and services. The center offers support and relief to families and individuals providing long-term care; provides meaningful daytime activities to enhance the participants’ self esteem, socialization, and health; and helps participants maintain or regain independence in daily living. This service is available to those individuals aged 60 and above, those under the age of 60 who meet income eligibility requirements, veterans and those individuals approved for the Community Alternative Program (CAP/DA). The center is located in Clinton and is open Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. It is staffed with a full-time manager, 1 full-time LPN, 1 full-time certified nursing assistant, 4 part-time center assistants, and a dedicated group of volunteers.
